The Forum provided a platform for world leaders in government, business and civil society to converge and discuss trade and economic issues affecting the globe. Hon. 22 Apr, 2010IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings- 2010Ms. Habiba Tasneem Chowdhury, Director and Chief Coordinator represented the Institute at the 2010 IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings. Ms. Chowdhury was invited to participate under the auspices of the IMF Civil Society Sponsorship Program. The Institute was honored to be one of 10 CSOs invited to share its views with the IMF Chief, Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn at a high-level meeting. She also represented the Institute at a select meeting to discuss managing fraud and corruption risk and contribute towards better development, with Mr. Leonard McCarthy, Vice President, Integrity, World Bank Group. This was supported by the Untied Nations Global Compact which is the largest voluntray CSR initiative in the world, started by the United Nations Secretary General in 2000 and is committed to internalize its ten principles covering the issues of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corrption.
